glare, stare, dazzle and reflect, glimmers and shines, the spasm of time,
motives, drives, and resolves, the corners are bright, the dungeons excrete,
bends and crooks, have lost their grips, the voices petrify,
the curves and turns, are exposed and gaping, gleams certify.
Agonies, distresses, dismays, darkness, dusk, and dimness,
the passage of sun, per say of the moon, extractions, expressions.
the rainy days and shine, lingering claims and commands,
the woes and torments, do fill the gaps, ravines and gorges.
The paths and the omens, presages, portents, and prophecies,
the orbits are limpid, walkways are sheer, and reverences are vivid,
the lights are scattered, rays are beaming, and the glows are dispersed,
sparks are spread, harbingers are brave, and the messages are tendered;
Extend and expand, the joy and delight, glee and triumph,
the lucent inside; inert, sluggish, stolid rifts shatter and smash,
internals and cores, inners and the souls, the mesmerizing rejected raptness,
the restored anchors, objects and people, yearnings and hungers,
asking for your beam, girder, rafter, and joist,
timbres, pitches, sounds, do their passing by,
embark, reach and lunge, to join fleet, the castle,
shadows should perceive, narrows do curtail,
Remains, core, essence, the parched and thirsting rays.
the zeal and fervor, eagerness and keenness, the quiescence, dormant, serenity,
purifiers, filters, and sorters, the pawn soldiers, warriors, and workers,
the hurray of the flora and fauna, the carols and chants,
that no else would dare to express, the zeal and fervor.
Serene passions and fondness, the ardor and respect,
is the least overture, to sustain the life and nature,
the fate and the fortune, is full to the rim,
the vibe and vitality, the verve and vigor surpass the schemes,
It is you— the candle and torch, that enlightens the dreams.
Themes & Interpretations
The Optics of Truth
Light in this poem is not merely illumination but revelation. The “glare and stare” forces hidden things into visibility; “dungeons excrete” and “bends and crooks have lost their grips.” Truth is a function of luminosity.
Suffering as Landscape
Pain is given geographical form: “ravines and gorges” that must be traversed. The “woes and torments do fill the gaps,” suggesting suffering has structural purpose in the architecture of experience.
The Architecture of Inner Light
Illumination requires construction: “beam, girder, rafter, and joist.” The soul’s radiance is not passive but engineered through deliberate effort and sustained will.
The Beloved as Source
The final revelation: “It is you— the candle and torch, that enlightens the dreams.” All the poem’s light originates from an addressed presence, transforming philosophy into intimate testimony.
