Flames and sparks, the blaze and glow,
the flare and etch, dare to resist,
ambiance, commotions, rumpuses and uproars,
know well, of how to defy and heal.
Razing ashes, glaring scalds, simmers and blisters,
the hurts and burns, and abandoned lingering notions,
negate and plunder, the refuted loots and raids,
foams on the surface, froths on the curves.
Cracking sounds, jingles and clatters,
The storms or blazes, do fizzle and sizzle,
the core to remain, intact and unburn,
contents, clasp, encircle and enfold,
the judgements, convictions, shall expand the soul.
While, passages, segments, and episodes,
migrations, exoduses, and motions,
linger and wait, or, soar and ascend,
the murmurs and whispers, enunciate the fame.
The pleas to crave and covet, brandish and blossom,
accompanying and convoying, the bells, chimes, and rings,
which vitally vibrate, and dazzlingly throb———
The defiance and boldness, closeness and nearness sway,
rock and bold fervors, merge tangible oceans,
the winds, gales, and squalls, bear the lashes of water,
to founder, the dominate, concentrations, and tinctures.
Annotations, observations, and glosses,
the urges, longings, and yearnings,
thrill, elate, and inspire, immersing the tokens,
while, the messengers and envoys, stagger, sway, and totter.
The dawns flick, glance and skim,
certainties, inceptions, trusts and beliefs,
the geneses of approach, opulence, slant and style,
the spread, encroachment, the rays, and the hints,
shall mingle, blend, arise and foresee.
The tenderness, fondness, adorations,
melt, thaw, and flux,
the prevailing perspectives, perceptions and ranges,
while, the reigned structures and frames,
the conventional and orthodox norms and medians,
peal and toll, the clangors to knell.

The Alchemical Core
Fire as Purification
The poem redefines fire not as an agent of destruction but as an alchemical force of purification. The “razing ashes” and “glaring scalds” are not signs of defeat — they are the mechanism by which the false and the external are burned away, leaving the essential core “intact and unburn.” Adversity becomes transformation.
Stoic Resilience

At the poem’s philosophical heart is a Stoic conviction: no external force — not storms, blazes, or plundering raids — can consume the true inner self. The “judgements and convictions” that “clasp, encircle and enfold” the core are the only armour the soul requires. Expansion, not contraction, is the soul’s response to heat.
